The full morning suit ensemble is very formal, so for a less formal wedding with a modern-day slant, opt for a tailored jacket rather than tails and team it with a classic white shirt. Knot your cravat as you would a tie and forget the top hat. Don’t forget to check with your bride the colour theme of the wedding if you really have played no part in those arrangements!

In other words, a snappy suit. More and more grooms and their wedding party are choosing to either buy or hire a really cool dark suit and wear it with a smart shirt and tie. The advantages are of course that it can be worn again and you may already have a suitable suit.
One thing to remember – don’t leave it until the last minute! For a summer wedding, aim to have your hire sorted out three months in advance. A couple of weeks before your wedding, double check everything, and don’t forget shoes, cufflinks, handkerchief, tie pin, watch ….. the list goes on guys!
